Club Read School Award

The Laura Rasmussen Love of Reading Award is named after Laura Rasmussen who was an avid reader who worked for both Dion’s and the Albuquerque Isotopes before her passing in 2021. The award honors Laura’s memory and connects her love of reading with librarians who help promote literacy with students in our community every day. It is awarded to the librarian at the school with the highest level of participation during each season of Club Read.

The winning school also receives a staff luncheon provided by Dion’s, a donation to purchase books or other library supplies, a set of pizza-themed books to add to the school’s library collection and a Dion’s gift card for the librarian.
